Christmas Lunch_1.jpg

This year is the 20th year of our annual Christmas Appeal, 'Operation Santa'.

Back in 2004, Radio Mercury started a campaign live on-air to support Crawley Open House provide a 3-course Christmas Dinner with all the trimmings for those suffering the effects of homelessness and social exclusion.

Today, 'Operation Santa' has grown in to one of our biggest charity appeals, and we can't do it without you!

There are many ways you can get involved:

  • The first thing we need is lots of chocolate advent calendars so that we can give one to all of our residents, Resource Centre visitors and those who get a food parcel from us in early December. Could you help by dropping off one or a few??

  • You could get involved by holding a fundraising event at home or work - anything to raise funds for the homeless and disadvantaged. Dress Down Day, a Raffle, Sponsored event - anything you like!

  • Give a gift to support the homeless to someone special with a 'Be 1 in 1000' Gift Voucher. Find out more here

  • You can support the homeless this Christmas by donating money on your mobile phone too! You can donate any amount, text OPSANTA to 70085 to donate £10 or any amount you like. For example;

  • To donate £5 - text OPSANTA 5 to 70085

  • To donate £2 - text OPSANTA 2 to 70085

  • To donate £1 - text OPSANTA 1 to 70085 - You get the idea!

Texts will cost the donation amount plus one standard network rate message. and you'll be opting into hearing more from us, if you would like to donate but don't wish to hear more from us, please text OPSANTANOINFO instead
