Hundred for the Homeless

"Crawley Open House is where I found the confidence to change my life. All the staff are so supportive, their kindness is above and beyond anywhere else I've seen.

 

People are in here for all different reasons personal to themselves, whether it be just homelessness, drugs or alcohol problems. The staff get on board with appointments you need to attend to help resolve the issues you have.

Since I have been in the Open House, there are many stories I could tell. The staff deal with everyone with real respect. they work long hours and are sometimes pushed to the limit.

​

If you are ready for help to change the way you live then this place will give you differeent opportunities to do so.

Whenever I entered into Crawley Open House, It was a delightful to see a loving family interact and enjoy each other's company. It showed me how a family can be close in spite of everyday pressures. You and your entire staff have created a great home atmosphere.

"I just wanted to drop a note to say I am back up on my feet and back at work. However the  main reason to email is to thank you and your team for catching me from falling any further. Looking back as it is nearly a year to the day that I found myself homeless I  am not sure how it would have all ended if you had not.

​

Can you please pass my thanks on to all of them but in particular to you for pulling me in from outside? One for being so kind on my first night outside there and giving me a hot tea. Others for just listening. Finally, Sue who sits in the office in the common room and I believe is one if the founders of the open house. Big thank you to her also.

If I am ever passing and the time fits that you are open I will pop my head and say hi. But for now thank you again"

When i came here, my life was a mess but now with the help you have given to me I've been able to turn my life around and have a future to look forward to. I couldn't have done it without your help. Also I'd like to thank the people that volunteer in the kitchen and all the people that donate to the Open House.
